Debit Card Bingo Sites

Debit CardsDebit cards are one of the best and most popular ways to fund your bingo account (or other online gambling sites for that matter). As you can see from the huge range of great sites in the table below, virtually every single bingo site in the world accepts debit cards. There are various different cards that are all classed as debit cards but the main ones are Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit, Visa Electron, Laser, Solo and Maestro and most bingo sites will accept any and all of these. If you aren’t sure whether your card is a debit or credit, check with your bank or provider to make sure, although it normally states clearly on the face of the card.

Debit Card Benefits

Debit cards are almost always free to use (assuming you have funds in your account and are depositing in the same currency your in which bank account is operated) and deposits are instantaneous. The speed, simplicity and widespread acceptance of them are the major advantages and debit cards are the most common way to fund an account. Also, you can make deposits and withdrawals with debit cards, with the latter processed very quickly and often reaching your bank before a deposit made the same day will show on your statement.

Debit Card Disadvantages

There are no real disadvantages to a debit card when used properly but there are a few points to note. Firstly, theoretically you cannot spend more than you have in your account with a debit card. This is great in some ways but if you wanted to make a short term “loan” to play until your wages or other funds clear you should be stopped by your bank.

I say theoretically because most banks will allow you to go overdrawn, at least by a small amount. This is another disadvantage though as most banks will then charge for such borrowing, often at high rates and – if not pre-arranged – with a penalty fee. The final disadvantage to debit cards (as opposed to credit cards) is that the latter can offer more protection in the event of fraudulent activity and the highly unlikely event of any bingo provider going reneging on the promised service or funds.
